A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Tonya completed a Bachelor Degree in Exercise science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Continuing her education here in Nashville at the Cumberland Institute for Wellness, she graduated as a massage therapist in 2004. Being an accomplished runner for many years, Tonya especially enjoys working with all types of athletes. She has recent experience working with a pro cycling team and with college level girl’s track and cross country teams in the Nashville area. Tonya combines deep tissue, trigger point therapy, reiki, and Chikly’s lymphatic drainage therapy into a massage that is grounding, fluid, and deeply relaxing. She is also available for Thai yoga massage.

Pauline began her massage therapy training in Grand Prairie, Texas, over 30 years ago and has worked as a full time therapist since graduating. Moving to Nashville brought her to the Mind Body Institute where she completed the course for her TN state license. She enjoys working as an integrative bodywork therapist combining Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Neuromuscular therapy, Chikly’s Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy, Chakra Balancing, as well as Upledger’s Craniosacral therapy into a massage that facilitates health and balance for the body and mind. Pauline’s goal is to have her clients feel relaxed and released at the end of each session.
Mission: With my experience I’ve grown more passionate about supporting my clients in their healing process. My intention is to alleviate stress, pain, and discomfort in a therapeutic, balanced, and relaxed way.
After completing her bachelor’s degree at Ball State University in counseling psychology and educational psychology, Holly went on to complete the 750-hour clinical massage therapy program at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2004. Currently she pursues training through The Experiential Healing Center for SomEx to enhance her practice with a deeper understanding of the neurophysiology of trauma, emotion, and self-regulation. Holly has a natural intuition for energy work and a touch that is deeply healing and restorative. Sessions with Holly are therapeutic, relaxing, and customized for each client. Her perceptive, adaptive, and calming approach to her work can be felt in every session, leaving clients feeling nurtured, balanced and energized. Mission: There is much to listen to in each client verbally, energetically, and physically. As a massage therapist I strive to foster an environment of communication, equanimity, and healing. I am committed to coming to the table grounded and helping my clients to leave feeling the same way. Through therapeutic touch I hope to inspire in my clients self-awareness, balance, mindfulness and compassion toward one’s self.
A Native of upstate New York, Heather attended the Institute of Massage in Buffalo and graduated in 2000. Her massage experience since then has been varied and broad including work in chiropractic offices, spas, and massage clinics in Buffalo, Las Vegas, and Nashville before making a home at Practical Massage in 2014. Heather’s massage incorporates deep tissue techniques and trigger point therapy to create a very deep, relaxing and balanced massage. Her focus is to help relieve stress and chronic pain.
Mission: My personal mission is to be honest and compassionate with all I encounter while working hard to alleviate my clients’ concerns.
Rachael graduated from the Clinical Massage Therapy program at Soma Institute Chicago in 2008. She first learned the value of massage some years earlier while she swam for the Carthage College swim team. Since her graduation she has gained experience working in chiropractors offices, spas, and with athletic sports teams. Born and raised in the Midwest, Rachael made the move to Nashville in 2014 in search of warmer weather! Rachael’s massage uses a combination of deep tissue, trigger point, joint mobilization and stretching to cater each session to the individual clients needs in order to create a relaxing and healing massage.
Mission: I believe that through cognizance of our own body we can each become our most powerful tool in maintaining health. It is my intention then to create a deeply therapeutic and relaxing massage that cultivates a mindfulness and self awareness of one’s body.
Candace grew up in Indiana but migrated out west to New Mexico after college. She completed massage therapy course work at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 2012. She comes to Practical Massage by way of Tullahoma where she practiced in her own private office while also running a farm! Candace’s massage is very relaxing and deeply therapeutic. She can combine aspects of acupressure, shiatsu, polarity therapy, foot reflexology and energy work in to each session to meet each clients individual needs.
Mission: My mission during each massage session is to create a space that allows my clients to fulfill a commitment of health for themselves. Through massage and energy work I invite each person to feel restoration of the fragments of their being to the here and now.
Originally from upstate New York, Laura received her massage license from Onondaga School for Therapeutic Massage in 2002. After completing their 1000 hour program she worked independently in many different settings including her own office, and luxury resorts and spas. In 2004 she moved to Nashville permanently. Laura’s sessions combine deep tissue, reflexology and stretching in to a unique session for each client to to help them maintain a sense of balance. She hopes her clients leave relaxed, refreshed and restored.
Mission: My personal mission is to help clients work towards their goals by giving them healing touch and knowledge in order for them to better understand their well being. Touch has such a great impact on the body, mind and spirit. I hope to continue touching the lives of others through massage and help each client in their healing process.
Beth Anne is originally from Baltimore Maryland and discovered her love for the healing arts through her experience receiving physical therapy after sustaining an injury in the beginning of her ballet career. Beth Anne graduated from National Massage Therapy Institute in Virginia in 2009. She originally moved to Nashville to pursue her professional dance career and decided to make it permanent her home after retiring. Beth Anne completed an 80 hour immersion course in Traditional Thai Yoga and is available for 90 minute sessions. Her table top integrated massage incorporates Reiki, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy and Sports massage, but also draws on aspects of her Thai Massage training and therapeutic stretching, which she learned during her professional dance carer. Her sessions aim to encourage balance, elongated muscles and awareness in the body so that energy may flow freely and efficiently.
Mission: My intention is to create a restful and therapeutic space that reminds the body to heal itself. I aim to cater to the needs of each individual, and cultivate a sense of awareness and continued self care.
